What makes us unique

One roof. One culture. One brief.

Most studios specialize in one discipline. To get a product into the market, you brief one studio, then another, and something always gets lost in the transition.

Studio Carbon is an integrated design studio. We bring industrial design, brand design, and UI/UX under one roof, one culture, and one brief. Nothing is lost in translation. You work alongside people who think differently from you, solving complex problems that require more than one perspective to crack.

More importantly, we are a design-led organization. Every decision is the outcome of curious deliberation, systemic thinking, and a deep desire to innovate.

Our journey

Nine designers, one wish.

Studio Carbon started in 2018, when nine designers who met at the National Institute of Design decided to build the kind of studio they wished already existed. One where design was treated as a fundamental discipline rather than a finishing touch, and where the people doing the work were trusted with real ownership from day one.

That’s still the deal. From our founding team of nine, we have grown into a group of 40+ Carbons, designers, engineers, developers, and strategists. Much of that growth has come from the inside: people who joined as interns, and grew into the people now leading multiple projects.

We believe design is as fundamental as carbon itself; it guides how every product, service, and decision feels, regardless of whether it is consciously noticed. Our job, and the job of everyone who joins us, is to make that influence intentional.

Our brand tagline, “Feel the Future,” is the standard we hold our work to, and it is only possible because of the people in the room.

If that sounds like the kind of place where you want to grow, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

What we are looking for

Introduction

Are you a visual designer who sees websites as living, breathing extensions of a brand? Do you find yourself redesigning every site you visit in your head, imagining how it could better capture the essence of who it belongs to?

Then this role might be exactly what you are looking for.

You already know your way around Figma, you understand how a layout holds together, and you have shipped enough work to start trusting your own eye. Now you want to go deeper, to own the digital face of brands rather than just push pixels around a page.

As a Mid-level Website Designer, you will sit at the crucial link between brand strategy and digital realization. You will work closely with brand designers, UX designers, and Webflow developers, translating abstract brand ideas into digital experiences that people actually remember. You will be trusted to take a brief and run with it, not to wait for every decision to be handed to you.

We are not looking for someone who builds generic, cookie-cutter websites. We are looking for a designer who cares about authenticity, sweats the details, and pushes past the obvious first answer.

Requirements

  • 3 months to 7 years of proven experience in website design, with a strong portfolio of innovative, brand-aligned web projects.
  • A degree in Web Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional visual design skills with a sharp eye for typography, color, and composition in digital spaces.
  • Expert-level command of Figma for website design and prototyping.
  • Familiarity with Webflow’s capabilities and limitations, so you can design within what the platform can actually build.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for effective collaboration with developers.
  • Experience designing interactive elements, micro-interactions, and animations for the web.
  • Confidence articulating and defending design decisions to both teammates and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.

You’ll fit perfectly if you

  • Stay curious about the latest in web and visual design without following trends blindly.
  • Bring a fearless, shameless attitude to designing.
  • Take charge of your designs and carry a project across the finish line.
  • Have the courage to fight for what you believe in, and the open mind to accept feedback.
  • Are obsessed with finishing things with care and precision.
  • Are willing to try new things without holding on to old biases.
  • Are eager to fail early and fast, then learn from it.
  • Enjoy meta-level conversations about life, design, and the world.

Generous leave structure
Health insurance of up to ₹5L and personal accident insurance of up to ₹10L

A studio that treats you like an adult

Culture

At Studio Carbon, freedom is not a perk. It is how we work. We do not micromanage, and we do not tolerate a culture of fear. What we do take seriously is ownership, honesty, and getting things done well.

You will be surrounded by designers, strategists, and thinkers who care deeply about their work. It is the kind of environment that makes you raise your own bar without anyone asking you to.

We invest in our people. Growth Saturdays, workshops, design talks, and in-house challenges are a regular part of life here. Your growth is part of ours.

Opportunities

  • Own end-to-end website design for clients across a wide range of industries.
  • Work on multidisciplinary projects alongside multicultural designers.
  • Experience and practice design the way it was meant to be done.
  • Stretch your craft across a vast variety of sectors and challenges.
  • Work with a studio that has its eyes on the future, not just the current brief.
  • Opportunity to kickstart your own venture through Carbon Labs, and become part of our studio story.
What you can do for us

Becoming a Carbon

As we grow, we want to scale up without ever compromising on the quality of our design. As a carbon, you will need to deliver the best quality within the deadline, and be self-driven enough to push a project forward without needing any external force.

This does not mean you will be left alone. We are a collaborative studio and will give you as much input as you are curious for. But we want you to be an engine, and not a carriage.

Responsibilities

As a Mid-level Website Designer, you will help shape the digital face of multiple brands, owning the work from brief to handoff. Some of what you can expect:

  1. Translate brand identities and guidelines into striking, user-friendly website designs in Figma
  2. Create original, considered design solutions that set clients apart from generic templates
  3. Design responsive layouts that hold their visual integrity across every device and screen size
  4. Bake UI and UX best practices into every decision, keeping navigation and interaction intuitive
  5. Design engaging micro-interactions and animations that are feasible to build on Webflow
  6. Collaborate closely with Brand Designers, UX Designers, and Webflow Developers from brief to launch
  7. Own multiple website projects at once, meeting every deadline and quality standard
  8. Build and maintain design systems and reusable components that keep work consistent
  9. Stay current with web design trends, tools, and technologies, and keep sharpening your craft
  10. Proactively suggest new design approaches that strengthen our reputation for innovative web design
How will your career progress

Initial months

Your first few months will be about learning how Studio Carbon approaches digital design, getting to know the people, the processes, and the studio lingo, and plugging your craft into live projects. Even with a few years behind you, it is normal to feel out of your depth at first. Every carbon goes through it.

You will shadow a mentor for the first weeks, then take the wheel on parts of projects, and soon on projects of your own. Work is assigned to both your skillset and your inclinations, so before long you will find your groove and your place within the studio.
